Last Chance Motorkhana 2022

Many thanks to all those who attended the Last Chance event on Friday 20th May. An early start with the threat of impeding rain showers, but the morning turned out great with only a light shower mid morning for 20 minutes which certainly sharpened up your driving skills.

Not to our usual standard of attendance but those who attended were treated to 4 tricky and tight circuits.

This years results are;

TC:

1st   Noelene D.  132.75sec.

2nd  Colin B.   134.45sec

3rd   Andrew B.  146.34sec

4th   John B.    179.76sec

Last Chance Motorkhana 2018

My thanks and appreciation to all those who came along and made the motorkhana the success that it was.

I counted 21 Club people and thirteen Club cars and ten of those took to the track to contest the four driving tests. Tony and Dianne Jeffries were made welcome at their very first motorkhana.

Two new tests were introduced this year by Comp Sec John and several of us found them a bit of a memory test  with mixed results.

The weather was good, the company fun and the porta-loo was a popular newcomer.

At the end of the day the results were-

TC           Colin Bonney                                     Total time 122.32 seconds

                John Bowles                                                         136.10

                Mike Sherrell                                                       143.45

                Alan Davenport                                                  144.35

                Tony Jeffries                                                        154.97

TD/TF/Y  Richard Prior                                                      129.01

                  Colin Dines                                                          141.59

                  John Welman                                                    146.41

                  Barbara Prior                                                      153.44

Ladies Plate:   Barbara Prior         153.44   seconds

Not in class:   Ken Stewart-Richardson TF 1250   133.37  seconds

Thanks also to Comp Sec John Welman and his helpers Ron Mitchem/Pat Pinder/John’s brother whose name escapes me.

This weeks meeting is the last before the dinner on Saturday 9th June so total points scores for the year have to wait until next week.
